Q: I am not able to volunteer, why should I join?
A: Your $10 membership ($12 for two adults per family) helps support various programs, presentations and awards. You are showing your children that you are involved in their education.
Q: What does the PTA do for our children and families?
A:
- One direct impact that PTA has on YVE families is that we alleviate the cost of school supplies at the beginning of the school year by providing a teacher stipend.
- We believe that feeling important and connected to your community is an effective contributing factor in creating successful students. This is why we hold educational and community building events such as Family Reading Night and Family Movie Nights.
- We fundraise to support these costs and are focusing on creating a more welcome entrance to our school. This will include benches and landscaping.
- We are always looking for new ways to enrich the learning environment.
Q: Who can be a PTA member?
A: Everyone, Parents, Grandparents, Students, Teachers and Family Members.
